Hello, I’m Hande Pala. I am a 3rd year student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Communication and Design. Since my childhood, I always dreamed of my own name in the credits of movies and TV series, I wanted to be behind the camera and see the set environment, and at the same time I was very interested in drawing and producing something. That’s why I came across the Department of Communication Design as a result of my intensive research, and I immediately decided and made my choice; it was almost as if the department was cut out for me. I am very happy with the decision I have made, I can say that it is the department and profession of our future.

Since the day I joined the IGU family, I had the opportunity to benefit from all kinds of opportunities of the university, its academic equipment, and the knowledge and experience of my professors. I would like to thank my very valuable professors who helped us learn practically, not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with the presentations and assignments we made after our lessons, all the IGU family for providing the opportunities I wrote above, my friends I met during this process, and you who took the time to read what I wrote.

Academically, the professors are very well-equipped and successful people, but this is also very important at this point: keeping the pulse of the market. Because architecture is such a profession that when you wake up in the morning, a brand new material, a brand new technology may appear. When you are a student, you can think that I will research them, see them and put them off. But it is very important that your teachers guide you in this sense. He should guide you by saying, “Yes, this is the curriculum, but this is the market.” If your teacher is already in the market, he or she can convey this to you very easily. Therefore, I can say that the fact that I have studied in Development has contributed a lot to me.

One of the main goals of our instructors was to bring each of us into the sector as creative, energetic, friendly, able to think and apply effectively, strong pen, high persuasion ability, prone to teamwork, and solution-oriented public relations graduates. In this context, I would like to thank my friends and myself for always being there for us.

I think that we owe IGU to receive a quality and accessible education at a time when fear and panic prevailed during the epidemic and the education system was greatly affected by it, and I consider it a privilege to be a member of this family. During this period, Vice President of Advertising Department, Dr. Instructor The article titled “Orientation of Cosmetic Brands in the Process of Digital Marketing and Communication in the Covid-19 Pandemic Process: Flormar Brand Example”, which we wrote with its member İpek Sucu, was published in the international journal Yeni Medya Elektronik.

I was a student of Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Double Major Program (DMP).

I had a very enjoyable time. My education process was open to interdisciplinary work and continuous learning. The process teaches you to identify, explore and solve problems creatively. It is very important to know and observe the material, it is very useful for us, especially after the jury processes graduate and go to the working process.

It teaches you how to present your project and renews your self-confidence. I am glad that I applied to the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Double Major Program and made such a choice.
